S – “According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”

O – There were instances in the OT where sin or impurity was forgiven by water or God’s decision. The NT was built on the precepts of the OT and blood needed to be shed.  

A – ]It is humbling to me that God chose his Son to be the ultimate sacrifice. Then, he came to earth to live a life without sin, was crucified on a cross and shed his blood.  He did this knowing it would cover all of mankind’s sins.  It makes me walk in humility and gratefulness.

R – Lord, let me walk in this attitude today.
