Devotion – Hebrews 10

S – And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, 25 not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24–25 CSB

O – The word “provoke” means to irritate to good. Believers should challenge each other to do good.  When we gather (congregationally, small group, or one on one), it should be each of us encouraging each other toward Christ.

A – I want to irritate others today towards Christ.  I have the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and wisdom at my disposal.  I also can model the character of Christ in my own life.  To do this, I have to stay surrendered and available to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

R – Lord, help me to do this.
